Sanduni Silva

I've worked across a broad range of mental health services within the public and private sectors. My previous roles have included working as a Counsellor for Headspace and the City of Casey local government, a Provisional Psychologist at Epworth Hospital working with patients who have experienced traumatic brain injuries, strokes, cancer and other life altering physical health conditions. I've also facilitated a 10-week Trauma and Eating Disorders Group Therapy program and worked as a Child Protection case worker. I've completed two seperate Masters degrees in both Counselling and Clinical Psychology. Having the dual lens as both a counsellor and a psychologist allows me to combine the relational humanistic and

emotionally supportive focus from counselling with the clinical, assessment, diagnosis and treatment focus in clinical psychology. This training and experience gives me the best of both worlds, so that I can deliver evidence-based, clinically effective psychological treatments in a way that is genuine, validating, adapted to you and emphasises the therapeutic relationship.
