Heba Bendak

I’m Heba, a dedicated counsellor and psychologist based in Naarm (Melbourne). I have worked in mental health for almost 10 years in various clinical, community, and hospital settings. My previous roles have included working as a psychologist in community adult mental health, a counsellor at Western Region Centre Against Sexual Assault, and a counsellor at The Royal Women’s Hospital. My clinical specialities include trauma, attachment problems, anxiety, ADHD, mood difficulties, and interpersonal struggles. I also
have experience in assessing and diagnosing mental health disorders if clinically indicated.
My identity as a Lebanese woman of colour fuels my conviction that every individual

deserves a space where they feel deeply heard and understood. I am committed to offering a compassionate, collaborative, and culturally responsive environment where clients are encouraged to authentically explore their emotions and thoughts. I enjoy helping people learn how to self-soothe, regulate their emotions, heal from their trauma, and work towards improving their quality of life. I regularly incorporate anti-oppressive and trauma-informed frameworks into my practice. My goal is to nurture your self-awareness and help you work towards a life in harmony with your authentic self.
